Happy Birthday to You Sale-a-bration Stamp Set

I thought I’d try making something with one of the new Sale-a-bration cling stamp sets. I wanted to use items from our annual catalog so went to our #143721 Decorative Ribbon Punch ($16), the #148551Stitched Rectangles Dies ($35), the #149500 Pressed Petals Specialty Designer Paper ($14.50), #101650 Very Vanilla Cardstock ($9.75), #146979 Merry Merlot Cardstock ($8.75), #150882 Rococo Rose Cardstock ($8.75), #144598 Cherry Cobbler Blends ($9), #147282 Call Me Clover Blends ($9), #147940 Basic Black Light Blends ($4.50) #144585 Daffodil Delight Dark Blends($4.50), #147112 Merry Merlot Classic Stampin’ Pad ($7.50), #132708 Tuxedo Black Memento Pad ($6), #110755 Multipurpose Liquid Glue ($4), #144108 Mini Dimensionals ($4), and completed this card.
Start by cutting Rococo Rose Cardstock 5 1/2” x 8 1/2” and score at 4 1/4”. Fold in half along the score line to make the card base. Punch two borders with the Decorative Ribbon Border Punch 5 1/4” each. Cut the script 12” x 12” sheet of Designer Series Paper 3” x 5 1/4”. Glue a border onto each side of this panel and glue onto the center of the card base. Stamp the cake stamp with Tuxedo Black Ink onto a scrap of Very Vanilla in two separate images. Color the flowers and buds Cherry Cobbler with the light color first, accenting the shadows and lines with the darker color and then blend both together again using the light blend. Color the center of the flowers with the Daffodil Delight. Color the leaves with the Color Me Clover light first followed by the dark and blend again with the light. Color the cake plate with the Basic Black light. Color only the flowers on the second image in the same manner as the flowers on the first cake stamped image. Cut out the cake image from the first coloring and each of the colored flowers from the second stamped image. Using the mini dimensionals, mount the individual flowers on top of the cake flowers. Again, using mini dimensionals, mount the cut out cake image to the lower portion of the front centered panel on the card front. Cut the smallest of the largest set of Stitched Rectangles out of a scrap of the Rococo Rose. Stamp the sentiment “celebrate” with Merry Merlot onto this rectangle and mount with mini dimensionals above the cake image. Finish the inside of the card with a 4” x 5 1/4” Very Vanilla layer stamped with the “Happy Birthday” stamp in Tuxedo Black.
